The directory, published by The Managed Care Information Center (MCIC), also identifies plans offering Medicare, Medicaid and supplemental Medicare, and includes such financial and statistical information as total revenue, total enrollment and net income.

The "National Directory of Managed Care Organizations, Third Edition," is available in three formats: an 809-page print volume; a CD-ROM version; and an online version accessible via MCICs Web site, www.themcic.com.
The CD-ROM version is delivered in a data format that imports into most database and spreadsheet programs, MCIC noted. The online version, meanwhile, incorporates searching capability with an option to download search results for importing into other database or spreadsheet programs, according to the company.
The directorys cost ranges from $285 for the print version to $1,495 for the CD-ROM and $2,095 for the online version.
