The National Directory of Physician Organizations -- Electronic Version can be easily downloaded into a spreadsheet, database program or sales automation software program. The database is provided in ASCII text and it is easy to manipulate the data for company or market specific research or study, said Gwen Lareau, MCIC Director of Research.
The database is designed to be used by companies selling products and services into this changing market, for network development or managed care contracting.
Users can study physician organization activity within a state or region of the country for market analysis purposes.
The information contained in the database has been collected from sources that include telephone interviews of physician organization representatives and mail and fax surveys by members of the Managed Care Information Center research project staff. All address and contact information has been verified.
The database can be used to generate reports, strategic planning, track managed care organization trends, study markets and plan for new product development.
Data elements include organization name, address, telephone, fax, key executive contacts, physician organization type, number of primary and specialist physicians, physician specialties, organization functions, number of managed care contracts and covered lives served, and service areas. The database also includes such statistics as, tax status, year founded, indication of whether the organization is 100 percent physician owned, revenues, and hospital/health system relationships.
The National Directory of Physician Organizations' electronic database is continuously updated as data is obtained by the research staff. Users receive the freshest data when the diskette is delivered. Users also receive a free six-month update as part of their subscription.
"This information is simply not this readily available from any other source, not from a healthcare trade association, not even from the U.S. Government," said Lareau.
The National Directory of Physician Organizations market contact database module price is $2,375. However, to introduce the database to the market, it is currently available for $1,775.
